Bill Steinkellner and his wife, Cheri Steinkellner,
began their careers as writers on The Jeffersons and Who’s
the Boss. They then served as the executive producers for eight
seasons on the television show Cheers. During their tenure
on Cheers, the show won two Emmy Awards for Best Comedy,
the Golden Globe Award, the People's Choice Award, and the Writer's Guild
Writing Award. Bill and Cheri then went on to create and produce the series
Bob with Bob Newhart and Hope and Glory.
They are currently writing feature films, and began in 2000 a Saturday
morning animated series Teacher's Pet. ABC will syndicate
the series next Fall and will make a theater feature of the show. Cheri
and Bill live with their three children in Santa Barbara.
